The Islands on Video

A COMPLETE GUIDE TO THE COOK ISLANDS: PART 2 OF 2
This is the second and final part of an ambitious attempt to capture the essence of the Cook Islands.  Part one covered eight of the nine islands in the Southern group.  In part two, I'll take you to the remaining island in the south, Palmerston where everyone has the same name because they're all descended from one Englishman who settled there with his wives in the mid 19th century.  The rest of the film takes you around the six Northern Group islands which some have said are "the stuff of dreams".

So...even if you're not planning a visit the Cook Islands yourself, I hope through the medium of video I can share with you why I think this is a very special place.  Have a great journey!

And if this film wets your appetite...
I've created some more detailed films about four of the islands.   Each is about four minutes long.  Click on the underlined island name to watch the film.

RAROTONGA:  The capital island
AITUTAKI:  Nearest neighbour of Rarotonga.   As well as a stunning, turquoise blue lagoon, it also boasts the best beach in the whole of the Australia-Pacific region, as voted by travel agents.
MAUKE:  The garden of the islands, with some surprising attractions
MANGAIA:  Ancient, rugged and not beautiful in the traditional sense..but an island of great beauty
